Crowley Carbon unveil Cool Planet Experience

The Irish company Crowley Carbon have announced that they will shortly be launching their Cool Planet Experience, an interactive exhibition on climate change, which aims to raise public awareness about the environmental impact of life in the twenty-first century.

The Powerscourt Centre in County Wicklow is set to host the first building dedicated to climate change in Ireland as early as summer 2016. It is a joint venture between Crowley Carbon, the Powerscourt Estate and several other companies engaged in sustainable development.

Originally a castle dating from the 13th century, the Powerscourt Estate welcomes half a million visitors every year and, with this number set to continue to grow, this stimulated the desire to educate visitors about the current climate emergency.

Crowley Carbon said that they wanted to show that sustainable development is not an idealist’s dream, but a daily concern and that each of us can take the simple and necessary actions to contribute to this goal. After the launch phase, laboratories and training rooms will be added to the existing structures.

The project promises an ” immersive climate experience” based on interactive exhibits which will allow visitors to travel from the melting of Arctic icecaps to the drought and arid terrains of the Australian outback.
